Wait has ended. NVIDIA Corporation announced the GeForce 8 Series architecture, previously code-named g80. Check out our companion article, for in-depth analysis of the structure of the new GPU. And declared that the board-level products, the GeForce 8800 GTX and GeForce 8800 GTS on. Today, we are looking for in pny the GeForce 8800 GTX, in-depth, but we will also discuss the speed and feed products as well as the GTS. Parliament will be able to shop online shopping, this week, with shops, let them in the short term.

There is one thing we note that the introduction of a single 8800 GT is the number-processor, so that in the GPU. We explained the 8800 GT’s 112-processor configurations that the group was only 7, sanitary and phytosanitary measures opening, rather than the use of 8, g80, and speculated that the other group did not use the sanitary and phytosanitary measures are hidden With the GPU. Then a month later, 8800 GTS been set, we doubt that is true. The new 8800 GTS, 512 have more in common with the 8800 GT than the previous card, in the 8800 series, the new PCB because of its design and g92 at the core, but with the new GTS on the set of all-8 group of processors Was opened for a grand total of 128. Rather than provide 320 mb and 640 mb frame buffer though, the new 8800 GTS, 512, as its name implies, with 512 MB of memory because of its 256-bit memory interface. Core and memory clock speed was also made, and to maintain the highest possible fill rate and bandwidth. Today, we are going to see a 512 in 8800 GTS on the integrity of the retail courtesy pny pruning techniques.

Note that the GeForce 8800 GTS board is smaller, at 9 inches-just about the same length as the 7900 GTX.

The “extra” SLI connector on top of the 8800 GTX board. This looks similar to the added connecter we saw ATI add to the Radeon X1950 Pro, but it’s not clear yet what the future use might be.

Let’s check out speeds and feeds:

Note that some specs aren’t directly comparable. As we noted in our GeForce 8 architecture overview, Nvidia’s new unified architecture uses many stream processors, which can dynamically be allocated to vertex, geometry or pixel shader tasks as needed. Also, the stream processors are actually clocked substantially higher than the rest of the chip. In fact, there are separate PLL’s dedicated to the stream processor clocks. So the concept of dedicated pixel and vertex shader units is no longer applicable.

Our suite of 3D performance benchmarks are as follows:

3DMark06: Futuremark’s latest synthetic 3D graphics and game performance benchmark is the only synthetic benchmark we use (that is, the only one that isn’t an actual game). It features fairly complex DX9 shaders and high dynamic range lighting, so it pushes graphics cards pretty hard and is a fairly good indication of overall relative graphics performance. You can read much more about 3DMark06 and its features in our feature article from last year.

Prey: Moving on from Doom 3 (it was getting a little long in the tooth), we’re now testing the latest and most graphically demanding title to use the Doom 3 engine. 3D Realms’ Prey doesn’t have a built-in timedemo, so we recorded our own.

Half-Life 2: The Lost Coast: Valve recently added high dynamic range rendering together with a graphics-intensive showcase level called The Lost Coast. The latest updates add a “Video Stress Test” option in the main menu. We run this and report the score.

Call of Duty 2: We have migrated from the demo version of Infinity Ward’s impressive WWII shooter to the full version, using our own custom recorded timedemo in an intense level during the African campaign of the single player game.

F.E.A.R.: Monolith’s new shooter is one of the prettiest, grittiest, and most graphically demanding games ever. We use the built in performance test to measure average frame rate, with all settings turned up to the max. There is one exception: the Soft Shadows option doesn’t work properly with anti-aliasing. We disable it for all testing.

Company of Heroes: This amazingly good real-time strategy game from Relic has a built-in performance test that runs through one of the game’s impressive in-engine cut scenes. It uses los of DX9 shaders and HDR lighting. We have experienced some odd behavior when enabling anti-aliasing, and AA plus HDR aren’t supported in older Nvidia’s cards anyway, so we only run tests without AA enabled.

Used together players will experience an extensive array of fun, dynamic and surprisingly challenging activities, including aerobics, yoga, muscle stretches and balance oriented games. The focus of these activities is towards providing a “core” workout, a popular exercise method that emphasizes slower, controlled motions, but it’s the fun approach to fitness of Wii Fit that will keep players hooked on fitness for years to come

Although the motion control sensing Wii remote has now been accepted by almost all Wii Fitness uses a completely different device for controlling its games. The Balance Board looks something like a set of bathroom scales but is filled with press sensors that can not only measure weight but also sense the movement of your body so that it can monitor and track exercises. There are around 40 activities in total, from yoga to press ups and step aerobics, as well as a number of “proper” games including heading footballs, a Super Monkey Ball style marble game and ski jumping. Also included a is the Brian Training inspired Wii Fitness Age, which monitors your weight and body mass index (BMI) every day and gives advice on your health.

With other companies, including Square Enix, already interested in using the Balance Board as a controller for their own games Wii Fitness looks set to become Nintendo’s biggest success story yet.

Wii suitable design has been enjoyed by the whole family. wii will fit everyone in the family combine fitness and fun. wii tied up with a suitable balance between the Commission, accessories developed specifically for the wii console. wii will help everyone fit in the family, is to increase awareness of the importance of fitness to play in their daily lives, and maintain themselves and their families the motive for the fun, fitness, it provided to users. wii for providing three key add to your family, know your body and develop their own, please check your progress. wii balance Council wii balance Commission is a pressure-sensitive, wireless balance, the Board is placed on the floor.

The committee wii sensory balance the weight and balance changes, in any direction, so as long as the activities of the Standing Committee on the wii, the audience can follow along the changes to ensure that they are in control of the on-screen activities. Know your physique: wii will be suitable for your inspection and monitoring of three areas of your physique, body mass index (BMI), the center of gravity & then set up goals for these areas. BMI test measures your weight / height ². wii suitable for such a measure will be taken and how to let you know that your ideals in a fair comparison. Train their own: wii for the training included four categories of aerobic exercise, muscle air-conditioning, yoga and balance of the game. All types of training, designed to help develop their physical balance control, burn fat and help tone and conditions of the muscles and increase aerobic endurance. All of these activities provide a great fun way physical activity, and your family.

The Wii Fit Balance Board
The primary tenet of Wii Fit is balance. Your center of balance, the point between your left and right sides when you stand upright, has a lot to do with your health. Those without an even center of balance will be unnaturally compensating for this imbalance, which causes their posture to become misaligned, increasing the possibility of putting unnecessary strain on their bodies. This is where the Wii Balance Board comes in.

Similar in appearance to a step aerobics board, the Wii Balance Board is much, much more. Easily capable of supporting weights up to a maximum of 300 pounds, it is sturdy and precise, able to measure weight and register pressure accurately when placed on a variety of flat surfaces. This advanced level of sensitivity allows for both the wide range of activities found in the Wii Fit software as well as the board’s amazing ability recognize individual players by their weight alone.

BitDefender AntiVirus 10 is a powerful antivirus solution that provides effective coverage and frequent updates. A well designed interface and smart heuristics make this an excellent “start it and forget it” solution for both home and office users.

#1 ranked anti–virus software and winner of “TopTenREVIEWS Gold Award.” BitDefender 2008 is an outstanding product with a user–friendly interface that will scan all existing files on your computer, all incoming and outgoing emails, IM transfers and all other network traffic.

This latest version of BitDefender has a new Gamer Mode feature that minimizes impact on gaming performance by removing any popups or warnings during game play while still protecting your computer. The software still has all of the reliable features for which Bitdefender is known such as “Privacy Protection” for outgoing personal information, “Web Scanning” while you’re using the Internet and “Rootkit Detection and Removal,” which detects then removes hidden virus programs.

BitDefender has also improved their existing B–HAVE feature that runs pieces of software on a virtual computer to detect code that could be an unknown virus. In addition, a setup wizard makes it easy to customize security settings.

Effectiveness

BitDefender v10has recently passed certification tests by the antivirus major testing labs (ICSA, Virus Bulletin, and Checkmark Level 2). To pass these tests, an antivirus program must successfully detect and disinfect all known viruses, without generating any false positives. BitDefender has passed all tests since April 2004 giving it a long track record. (Editor’s Note: AntiVirus tests should be performed by specialized testing labs to ensure that dangerous viruses are not released onto the internet.)

Ease of Use

BitDefender has an attractive and easy-to-use interface that is quite simple to use. It automatically scans all files as they are accessed and performs real-time scanning as needed, so you will hardly ever need to pay attention to the program after you install it.

Summary

BitDefender v10 is a highly effective and inexpensive antivirus product and we can strongly recommend this as a good buy to our readers.

The E90 has almost everything you could dream of and provides the fastest processor currently used in Symbian OS smartphones and the largest operating memory (RAM) capacity ever used in a Symbian OS based device, with the recently announced UIQ3 based Sony Ericsson P1i being the only smartphone to offer the same amount of RAM. Yes, it’s true, Nokia has finally created a Communicator that is as fast as other high-end Symbian OS devices and as powerful (and MORE functional) than high-end PocketPC Phone Edition devices! Read on.

Think of the Nokia Communicator E90 not as just another “boring” business tool, but as the keyboarded version of the incredibly full-featured and hot Nokia N95. Yes, this is clearly the newest member of the 10 year long Communicator line, but this ain’t your grandma’s Communicator. While we loved the Nokia 9300, Nokia’s last Communicator, it lacked all the bells and whistles of a high end NSeries device: things both fun and practical weren’t there. No camera (we can understand since some companies restrict phone use, but we missed it nonetheless), no WiFi, just OK multimedia features, and by the time it hit the US, an older version of the Symbian OS. In contrast, the E90 has it all: a 3 megapixel camera with autofocus lens and VGA video recording, full GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, good multimedia and the latest versions of the Symbian OS (9.2) and Series 60 3rd edition Feature Pack 1. That’s another big change:

Nokia Communicators have always run Series 80, now put to rest since Series 60 has become powerful enough to handle the Communicator line’s features. From a US perspective, the phone is more practical being quad band EDGE rather than 2 triband versions (no having to do research to make sure you get the one that works on all US bands). The E90 gets HSDPA, but sadly for those of us in the US, it supports only the 2100MHz band used in Europe, so we only have EDGE to work with in the US. The phone is available in two colors: mocha and red, and it can sync to both Windows and Mac OS X computers. It’s available unlocked from importers but not carriers in the US. Our review unit came from the very reputable Dynamism, who includes their own 1 year rescue warranty and unlimited toll free tech support.

The Nokia E90 Communicator is a mammoth. The handset measures a whopping 5.2 inches tall by 2.2 inches wide by 0.7 inch deep and weighs 7.4 ounces, so you can pretty much forget about slipping this into a pants pocket, comfortably anyway. On the upside, the smartphone has a solid construction and looks like it could weather some rough treatment. It’s also got a decidedly no-nonsense, corporate look, which suits its intended audience of power business users.

A fantastic update to the Communicator line that’s more like a re-birth. While keeping the best of the Communicator line’s inventive and practical ergonomics, the feature set has been raised to the sky. HSDPA will thrill Europeans and quad band EDGE means the phone will work fine in the US as well as anywhere else in the world GSM service is available. WiFi will keep you connected when near an access point and Nokia’s Bluetooth implementation is as usual, excellent. The PIM applications are strong and the Office suite plus Acrobat Reader make for a good mobile office. The web browser is best in its class and the mail application is decent. BlackBerry users will appreciate BlackBerry Connect and the phone’s overall stability is excellent. For the first time, we get good multimedia and an excellent camera in a Communicator, which means down times won’t be dull.

Pro: Fantastic wide screen display with 800 x 352 resolution that’s very viewable outdoors. Very good camera, WiFi, Bluetooth and a GPS. Excellent Communicator design melds a mobile phone with a notebook. The E90 is extremely stable and reliable.

Con: In the US, the GPS and Nokia Maps is a mixed bag. Nokia has improved on the N95’s GPS with firmware updates, and we hope they do the same with the E90. Large by phone standards. No US 3G. The mobile office and strong PDA features feel a bit hobbled without a touch screen.

Dell announced a new 20″ LCD display - the UltraSharp 2009W.

This display retails for $289 and features a 1680 x 1050 pixel resolution, 102% color gamut, 2001:1 “dynamic” contrast ratio, 300cd/m² brightness, 5ms response time, height-adjustable stand and four USB 2.0 ports.

Dell’s got a spanking new 20-inch widescreen flat panel LCD monitor. Based on the specs it should offer exceptional color accuracy, the Dell UltraSharp 2009W display is fully adjustable even down to the tiniest detail. Just by looking at the 2009W LCD monitor, you’d immediately know that underneath its elegant look are high end technology features waiting to be used and explored. The 20-inch size may not be enough for your personal widescreen viewing pleasure, but it is definitely more than enough to answer everyone’s need for additional workspace in their desktop computing needs.

The 20-inch high-resolution Dell 2009W displays 102% color gamut in a brilliant 2000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. This simply means that the 2009W monitor is capable of delivering wider and more accurate color representation of razor-like images and fluid motion. In fact, the Dell 2009W LCD monitor exemplifies what an HD display is all about. Clearer graphics, documents, video and even e-mail in a native 1680 x 1050 resolution and DVI with HDCP. This simple means that the 2009W can deliver superior, life-like clarity and stunning display of images and videos.

Not only will you get to enjoy crisp and clear image display, but you get to help save the environment as well if you use the Dell 2009. The UltraSharp widescreen monitor utilizes lesser electricity and power and produces less heat as well. The Dell 2009 is a good example of an environment friendly electronic product. Even in its packaging, the Dell uses environment sensitive product material. The Dell 2009 is the first Halogen-Reduced flat panel monitor.

Other features of the Dell UltraSharp 2009 widescreen monitor includes 5 millisecond response times, height adjustable stand, 4 USB 2.0 ports and premium panel guarantee. The Dell UltraSharp 2009W is currently available and retails for $289.

Unlike its more expensive models the inputs of this display are limited to VGA (Analog) and DVI-D (Digital) with HDCP.

A LCD monitor with dynamic contrast ratio! 2000:1 is pretty good. It’s just a guess but I’m thinking the CCFL-based backlight has either a local dimming or pulsing capability. The CCFLs are the Wide Color Gamut (WCG-CCFL) variety which is becoming more common. With any LCD monitor that sports more than the typical 72% NTSC I would recommend getting a color calibration tool, especially if you are in a profession that requires accurate colors. You never know what CIE coordinates these monitors have. Other than the features already mentioned, the $289 price seems to be good, but in light of this ‘UltraSharp’ not having RCA inputs to use as a video source for a DVD player, a PS2 and others, I would have liked to see this come out at $249 since it’s only semi-UltraSharp.

Dell UltraSharp 2009W Specifications :

Size: 20″

Pixel Format: 1680 x 1050

Get the power of a full-sized laptop in the ultra-compact ASUS Eee PC 8G Surf, which offers a full QWERTY keyboard, 7-inch screen, and preinstalled Linux operating system. (This laptop is also compatible with the Microsoft Windows XP operating system.) You’ll be able to stay connected to e-mail and the Internet easily thanks to the Wi-Fi LAN (802.11b/g), and communicate via video chat and VoIP with the Webcam integrated into the display’s bezel. Because it uses flash memory instead of a hard drive (with 8 GB of storage), the Eee PC is optimal for weathering rough handling and sharing space in overstuffed bags.

In the 8 GB model, the SSD is a card connected via the internal PCI Express Mini Card connector.

The 4 GB and 8 GB Eee PC models use 533/667 MHz DDR2 RAM via a standard SO-DIMM module, which can be swapped out. The hardware supports up to 2GB but the preinstalled Xandros kernel (out of the box) itself only supports 1GB. Users can expand the storage space using the SD/MMC card reader or by installing a larger SSD in models with an available mini card slot. The memory card is removed by pushing in the card until it clicks and ejects.
